Experian users? - panicing

Does anyone use experian? I just logged on and it says

We found 1 possible risk

These may not show on your credit report yet. It depends on when lenders send us information (every 4 to 6 weeks) and when your free monthly report is updated.

I haven’t opened any new accounts. There is no option to report it. I registered to CIFAS.

can anyone advise on what else I can so? Thank you

I had this recently and when I looked into it, it was because I'd been searching car insurance and applying for monthly payments. Also happened when I changed broadband providers as they do a search.

do you know if CIFAS is good? I accidently sent personal info form to the wrong email. Turns out to be a scam email too. Super stressed here but your reply for experian made me feel a bit better. I will call on Monday just to see what they say.

The same thing happened to me this week too - Experian sent me an email. I’ve just been keeping an eye on my account, but everything looks ok so far.
My plan is to keep checking and report it, but if others have had the same thing, I wonder if it’s a glitch. Also it keeps saying it was added 11 days ago - and I don’t think the number of days has changed.

I really paniced too! I'm afraid I can't help with CIFAS.

It took a couple of weeks before I identified the sources of the companies doing the credit check...turned out to be BT and EE!

No I just use the free plan. I did download the app after the email though, as I couldn’t see the detailed credit report online ( the website said it’s only available in the app now!)
