My TV tells me its available to buy from Amazon Prime for £6.99 or with a NOW TV (Sky) subscription.

Its not on free-to-air channels yet.

It’s been released on Netflix I think.

Starlight7080 · 06/10/2025 14:40

The relationship with the young man was awkward. She is in her 50s and he cant be more then 23 . I did like Hugh grant and her friends from the previous films .
Loved the house and kids .
I did think the kids on that school trip would have frozen on the floor of the barn with blankets . Given it was meant to be not long before Christmas.

StopEatingTheBiscuits · 06/10/2025 14:40

I watched it this weekend - it’s suddenly appeared on one of the sky cinema channels.

what has she done to her eyes? Most of the film she could barely open them.

I thought the Roxster story line was a bit bleurgh, Hugh Grant was v good.

I watched the whole thing and did enjoy it but wouldn’t have paid to watch it in a cinema - Dp fell asleep about an hour in

I think she had some work done or ongoing and its weirdly pulled the skin so tight around them that they hardly open 😆. But plus side is she has very wrinkle free skin for her age 🤔

StopEatingTheBiscuits · 06/10/2025 14:51

I feel her pain, my eyes are definitely getting narrower as I age but whatever she’s done seems to have made it worse!

she was very wrinkle free now you mention it @Starlight7080

Thanks @BankfieldForever

As it has suddenly appeared, being talked about in active threads, I assumed it must have been added somewhere that I had missed Smile

Someone said upthread that it has just been put on Netflix - I don’t have that but loads of people do so that is, I assume, why its appeared in trending.

garlictwist · 06/10/2025 17:21

I thought it was a load of mawkish piffle. Where was the humour? Early Bridget Jones was a genuinely funny, well-written character. This was just...sad and don't get me started on her stupid facial expressions.

I so agree

Thingyfanding1 · 08/10/2025 22:55

I loved it! I felt she was again so relatable.

ThoseThreeBeautifulNights · 08/10/2025 23:01

I saw it at the cinema and loved it. Renee is always great, the kids were adorable, Hugh was funny, I loved what their relationship had become. The teacher her was the right choice for her, but I’m a Leo Woodall fan 😍 What’s not to like? 😂

Edited

I can’t see it on Netflix.

Greentableleg · 08/10/2025 23:13

It's on Sky Cinema

TheChosenTwo · 08/10/2025 23:15

It came on to sky cinema this week. I was a bit ambivalent about it. Enjoyed Hugh Grant’s character and how their relationship had
evolved and I liked the gynaecologist making a come back.
Thought the storyline with the young guy was really silly and not believable at all plus it all ended rather weirdly and abruptly.
plus wtf was that school field trip about?! Nonsense!

Fizbosshoes · 08/10/2025 23:19

I had house-envy (or was it a flat?)either way it was amazing
And Hugh Grant was great
I nearly cried at the cinema but held it together because my teen DD was with me!

Porkrice · 08/10/2025 23:24

I watched it on Westream a while back found it a bit boring tbh.
Did i miss something because the baby was called william in the ending of the last one when she got married and now the kids called billy.

Enjoyable, emotional and completely unbelievable!

Billy is a common nickname for William, maybe more so years ago than now though I suppose.

Fluffyhoglets · 08/10/2025 23:27

I loved it. Saw it twice at cinema (have membership)
It's a Bridget Jones film not a gritty drama. It's meant to be daft and unbelievable.
I was crying with laughter at parts of it and it was very emotional at the end.

Porkrice · 08/10/2025 23:27

ThoseThreeBeautifulNights · 08/10/2025 23:03

I can’t see it on Netflix.

Its on Westream its been on there for months.

And to anyone that is paying sky, netflix etc you can get all the same on westream films series docs the lot for free no sign ups it cost nothing.

Janus · 08/10/2025 23:32

I have to say I really enjoyed it! Mostly for Hugh Grant but also the small bit where she was with her father who had some terminal illness. I loved that moment they had together when he knew he was dying and they shared that, I properly cried. Maybe because I lost my dad extremely suddenly not quite 2 years ago and I wished I’d had that goodbye moment.
The boy storyline was all a bit daft, did he really think she was 35?! But overall just fun to see old characters again.

AntiqueMaps · 08/10/2025 23:34

Shes always waddled around like an egg on cocktail sticks. Could drive a bus between those legs. Eg the scene in the original film where shes dressed up as a bunny girl.

ThoseThreeBeautifulNights · 08/10/2025 23:03

As I said, I don’t have netflix, it was someone else who said that.

It is available for sale only on Amazon Prime or as part of a NOW tv subscription.

BIlly is a diminutive of William.

My DH’s name is William but he’s always been known as Bill.

LivingTheDreamish · 09/10/2025 03:55

I sobbed through the book which was brilliant. The film was okay.
