My daughter is a trained nail technician and beauty therapist.
She gives me a pedicure and does my toe nails with gell.. but l just don't like my finger nails with gel or anything...but l do like an exfoliation etc.

I’ve never had a manicure and only ever use clear nail polish. I keep my nails short, just a teeny bit beyond my fingertips. I like the idea of getting a neat, professional job done though. Would it be weird to go to a nail bar to get something simple done? I’m not interested in nail extensions or jazzy designs.

Not at all! I have plain/block colours most of the time (I have mine done every 4 weeks, have done for years). Occasionally I might go for something sparkly, and I do love a bit of tortoiseshell now and then, but mostly, I just go for standard French, or red etc.

If you haven’t noticed, I’ve got a wart on my finger. So they’re not perfect by any means!

Are you not happy with it? I’d be a bit pissed off with the cuticle areas and the miss-matched shapes, but it’s not too bad.

It’s not that I’m not happy with it but I’m just seeing how everyone thinks it looks for next time I go.

Why have you got 3 almost identical threads? (With the same photo of your hand on them?)

Well, it’s not great but not terrible. The shapes are not uniform, the cuticles haven’t been done well and there are gaps. The ring finger looks silly.
