Hungry but no appetite

Does anyone else get like this? I have no appetite for any "food". I end up eating crap because I can't be bothered to prepare anything. There is nothing I really fancy so I eat toast, bread, crisps - basically easy access foods.

Fwiw, I have a weird food relationship with food anyway. I go through phases of only really wanting one thing (most recently it's been porridge with cinnamon, raisins, brown sugar and walnuts) which I then eat daily until I don't want it anymore. I also struggled with an eating disorder throughout my teens and 20's. I definitely have disordered eating still but not on the scale it was. I have a thing about texture - I don't really like "smooth" foods so always have to have something with added crunch so don't really like pasta or mash etc but will eat it.

Is anyone else like this? What do you eat when you feel like this?

I'm in recovery for anorexia. I also go through phases of certain foods. Like I'm squeezing all the novelty and enjoyment out of it until it's no longer interesting or cravable. It's a bit weird I guess but as long as you're eating enough calories I'd just go with eating what you fancy.

Make sure you take plenty of vitamins and try and get enough protein. I've started eating protein bars which are far from healthy, so I'm hoping that phase will be over soon!
