Ideas for 50th

It's my 50th this year and I need some ideas or advice about what do do.

I'm meeting some old friends before my birthday but I've nothing planned on the day. I'm currently living with someone but we are looking to separate when we can sort out housing solutions so could go with family ( teens as well) or just teens but I'm not sure about this

Option could be spending a night or a couple of nights somewhere alone (maybe a spa hotel or a interesting city etc?

Does anyone have any ideas for nice places to stay or things to do that they would recommend?

For my 50th I went to Edinburgh with friends. I paid for a beautiful Airbnb and we visited all the places and had a lovely dinner in an old pub. I didn't want a huge party.

In the run up to it I did things close by often by myself.

Go on the BA website and book a city break for your actual birthday? Choose a hotel with a spa, book a treatment? Somewhere sunny?

I went to Cornwall for a long weekend. I had never been. As it was winter we got an amazing cottage right on the harbour with fantastic views.

Within 2 weeks we were back looking at houses and we moved here 8 years ago. So it did go rather well...

How about somewhere like The Scarlett Hotel or The Headland Hotel in Newquay? Get the best room overlooking the beach, go to the spa, have wonderful food in the restaurant.
