Starting a nice thread, because it's the 1st today and October is my favourite month of the year. I love autumn and I love Halloween. I'm making a pumpkin pie for Halloween and DS will be able to have some this year (he was three months old for the last one.) 🥧

I love autumn because my birthday is in September, then there's Halloween and then Bonfire Night. It feels exciting!

I'm going to be all cosy, light some candles and have hot chocolate. ☕

I love October too as I love seeing all the trees changing colour! And it’s just before it gets really cold.

Going to get the autumn decorations out of the garage today! Would usually have done it before now, but was away the second half of September

Hi, October is also my favourite! I was born in the summer, and I do really love all the seasons, but October had always been my favourite I'm really enjoying the fallen crunchy leaves, cooler evenings, etc. I've added making a pumpkin pie to my to do list! I also look forward to watching a Charlie Brown cartoon about Halloween on the 31st.

It was chilly this morning so I made us porridge for breakfast, with blueberries, mixed spices and honey. It was very nice. 😋

Have a listen to The Birds Are Leaving by Boo Hewerdine. It's on YouTube. A very rural, autumnal song. Reminiscent of Nick Drake.

@TheTecknician Thank you, I will do. 😊

@TheTecknician Thank you, I will do. 😊

It's on his 1999 album called Thanksgiving. The whole album has the same laid back, rural folksy feel to it.

I do love autumn just a bit more than other seasons (despite my name) though I try to embrace them all. (I don’t feel I’ve been able to embrace winter for a few years now as it’s always mild and never cold in the south east)
I’ve had a lovely blustery walk in the forest around the lake today and I’ve just been browsing spooky books for me and dc.
I have the blankets out for the sofas but I don’t feel we need them yet.
Same with soup. I know we can eat them anytime but I don’t look forward to them yet. Still happy to be eating salads!
