Contraception

So I had my baby 14 weeks ago and I’m thinking about going onto contraception again but the only problem is I can’t take certain ones as I have gallstones and any contraception that contains oestrogen can make my flair ups worse. I’ve spoken to multiple GPs about this but it wasn’t very helpful advice as I was told I could go on any by one GP and that I couldn’t go on certain ones by another GP 😩 is there anyone out there suffering with the same problem? Or is there anyone ghat could give me any advice at all?? 😣 I also can’t get the mini pill as I will forget to take it and I fell pregnant on the implant and I also can not go on the deppo as I plan on having more children in the very near future :)

You could try the non hormonal coil. It appears you can't take hormonal contraceptives. No experience myself but a friend of mine has had it for a long time with no issues. She had 2 children within 2 years and the coil in-between.

Copper coil is the only thing that doesn’t contain hormones, or condoms. Make an appointment with your practice nurse to discuss options though.
