Urban Outfitters sizing help please!

DNephew (14) has requested some Urban Outfitters clothes for this birthday - joggers or t-shirts. He's not bought anything from there before but according to DSis it's where all his friends are now buying their stuff. Issue is he's a small 14 - about 5'4 and skinny. Can anyone offer any guidance on how the XS/XXS sizes fit? Don't have a store near me - can get my DSis to do some measuring but wanted to get steer first on what we should be looking at.

You’re safer buying him UO vouchers. They have different ranges so I imagine the sizing could be different depending on what you get. As the parent of a 15yo, I find we need to try stuff on wherever we go as teen proportions don’t really fit typical clothes sizes so you need to try before you buy!

I have a 14 year old DD and I would say their sizes run very small- she is usually a size 8 but has some size M tops from urban outfitters and they are still tight fitting. Their XS honestly look like dolls clothes!
No idea if the men’s ranges are similar though
