My 80 year old neighbour has never had a mobile phone, she has been given a flip phone that’s about 3 years old, it needs a Sim Card, she doesn’t want to have a contract with a phone company, she wants to know if she can pay up front, (say£10) & top it up when needed, any recommendations? I know nothing about phones etc so can’t really help her. she did go into an ee shop where the young man totally confused her & tried his best to sign her up with a smart phone contract ,so she came away feeling stupid that she did not get what she wanted.
Thanks in advance for any response or recommendations.

I only ever use PAYG. I'm with giffgaff. Order the SIM online and top up online via their website. She'd just need to remember/write down the phone number and a password, and save her card details on her account. Once that's done it's just one click to top up.
