What's your hobby? I need inspiration.

I’ve just sent off for a stamped cross stich kit in an attempt to get offline and find something relaxing and not too complicated. I don’t think I have the accuracy or concentration for counted cross stitch so I’m trying this . I do some needle felting too which I’m not into at the moment for some reason but results are quick and materials inexpensive. Is there anything you think you’d enjoy ? Craft , sports, puzzles , gaming etc?

Tunisian crochet
Easier and faster than standard crochet

I recently started to play the recorder! That’s fun.

I cook a lot, grow cactii, do yoga, and cycle.

I do

• Knitting
• Cross stitch
• Painting
• Jewellery making
• Diamond Art
• Baking
• Coding
• Jigsaw puzzles
• Soap and Candle making
• Nature Photography

jigsaws, dog sports, outdoor swimming, Pilates, racket sport, running, baking………

These are my current interests.

Scuba diving
all absorbing, no time ( or money) for anything else

Bravo to you! That’s one hobby I could never do, far too technical for my liking, I’d never be able to figure out the correct air mixtures or decompression stops, would probably end up dead but also the idea of being in deep water terrifies me.

you build up to these things slowly when you start .
And there is lots to see without decompression stops being necessary or any gas other than air .But it’s not for everyone.
someone once said to me if they’d known what it was like they would have ‘ stood in a cold shower and ripped up £20 notes’ 🤣
Not so much a hobby, more an obsession 🙄

@Ferretedaway I still have a failed cross stitch that I started age 8 which was a few decades ago now 🤣 I think I'm fundamentally lacking the patience to do a lot of crafts, even though I like the idea of them.

@Happygolucky7000 haven't heard of Tunisian Crochet, am intrigued and will have a look shortly, thanks.

@PenelopeRadish The recorder! That's awesome!! I could so get into that.

@2Pandora So impressed by you or anyone else doing that, but I am too fat, unadventurous and afraid.
