I was an idiot today and had two parcels to post and for the first one, I put the wrong parcel in the locker.

ive messaged the buyer to let them know to raise an issue when it arrives, and they suggested that they just not collect so it gets returned to me. I have had this with another sale in the past.

does anyone know whether they will be charged postage if they do this? Or get a black mark against them as a buyer? It would be my preferred option if possible as only sold the item for £1 so no point having to pay to have it returned.

i have had this before where a buyer didn’t collect. No black mark for either of us that I’m aware of. But honestly who actually reads through the reviews anyway before purchasing?

Good point re reviews … I was more concerned that they’d still be charged postage but Vinted didn’t give any guidance on this at all 🤷‍♀️

I once accidentally didn't collect a parcel in time. My InPost text said I had until x date and I wasn't easily able to get there until the last day - not a problem, I thought... As I was going to bed the night before I got a reminder to say the deadline was 5am on x date. The previous text hadn't specified a time! The supermarket had already shut for the night (the lockers are inside the store), and didn't open again until 7am, so it got returned. No black mark received, and the seller was even kind enough to resell & post it to me when I messaged to apologise and explain what had happened, although I did pay her the full original price rather than the deal offered.
