eta, All the President's Men is also very good

He was one of my teenage favourites and he made some great films. Hard to choose one, so just work through a few - Jeremiah Johnson, The Great Waldo Pepper, The Great Gatsby, Three Days of the Condor, The Horse Whisperer, The Sting and for a lovely way to start, Barefoot in the Park. Lots more, even a few fairly recent films and can't say he made any bad 'uns really. Enjoy.

One of my claims to fame is that I have spoken to Robert Redford on the phone

I’ve not seen that for a long time but it’s a great film.

The Redford film I’ve seen most recently is A Walk in the Woods, which was enjoyable once I’d got over the incongruity of him casting himself as Bill Bryson (and he’d wanted Paul Newman as Katz).

Another vote for Three Days of the Condor and Barefoot in the Park. Love them both.

All the Presidents Men with The Way We Were a runner-up. Bought the latter today via Apple TV for the price of a coffee!

All the President's Men would be a good watch with them though (you might need to explain the background!)
