Becoming articulate

I’d love to be more articulate and envy people who are!
I remember someone telling me that reading is the only way to do this.
I’m not a big reader at all- so my question is- would listening to podcasts and interviews etc have the same effect?
Or is there no substitute for reading more in order to achieve this?
Thank you….

Listening to audiobooks, podcasts, interviews etc will definitely all help too. Even watching good films.

Podcasts have really helped me. I read a huge amount, which has made me a decent writer but didn’t help that much with being articulate in conversation.
