How long does your breakfast keep you full?

I used to not eat eat breakfast and eat at lunchtime but my working hours are 10-3pm on 2 days and I’ve had to change my ways. I now have breakfast before I start.
A light breakfast has me reaching for snacks so a more filling breakfast is the way to go.
I’ve just had some rye toast with hummus, avocado and roasted pepper from a jar. It was really delicious and filling and im
wondering how long that’s going to keep me going.
It just got me thinking about what people eat if they do have breakfast and how long it keeps them going.

I have berries, raisins with 150g full fat Greek yoghurt, sprinkled with dry porridge oats about 20g and tablespoon of pumpkin seeds. Eat around 8 - 8.30, comfortably last until 12.30 but have 2 hot drinks with milk in between.

I travel occasionally, so if you need a fast and filling snack, a boiled egg with salt, can eat in 30 seconds.

In winter porridge, in summer Bircher muesli/overnight oats. Added seeds, fruit, nuts, to taste.

Keeps me going like the Duracell bunny for 4-5 hours.

About 50gm oats, BTW.

Jumbo oats, walnuts, pecans, mixed seeds, flame raisins, cranberries, small banana, cinnamon, whole milk. Usually keeps me going 5 hrs.

I have two crumpets and a coffee every morning at about 8 and don’t eat again until 2pm at the earliest on work days.

I eat breakfast around 9am ish and nothing after that until 1pm or later. I have to fast to take medicine on an empty stomach, so my eating pattern is very set. But I’m rarely hungry before then. Sometimes I don’t eat til closer to 2-3pm.

I sometimes eat a Greek yoghurt or one of those kvarg protein yoghurts with fruit, or lately proper porridge with fruit, nuts, dried coconut, etc.

This is mumsnet so you are going to get a lot of competitive under eating posts.

I have a slice of sourdough with peanut butter and a bowl of fruit with Greek yoghurt and nuts / seeds around 8am.

I get hungry around 11.30am and a cappuccino keeps me going for another couple of hours. Have lunch around 2pm.

Protein is key in the morning

I always try and prioritise fibre and protein at breakfast time (I have pcos so this is important), so a protein smoothie with flax seed, or wholegrain bread or wholegrain waffles with peanut butter. Something quick and easy. I eat it after the school run and usually keeps me full til 12:30 / 1 x
