Hi all
Has anyone with PMDD & perimenopause found a particular antidepressant help.
Also birth control pill - I've hard that can help but is that for younger women not in perimenopause. And can it be taken alongside HRT or do you give up HRT for the pill.
Seeing my GP & would help to have idea what has helped the best for others.
I read sertraline is effective for PMDD. Any feedback on that or other medication that helps the best.
Thanks in advance on any experience with this. 🥰

I don’t have PMDD but suffered from PND and anxiety following the birth of my 2nd child.

I was put on sertraline and it really helped until I was put into surgical menopause and as I had reached the top dose of sertraline and to change.

I must warn that my symptoms did get worse when starting the drug especially my anxiety and intrusive thoughts. However after a month or so it started working and really helped.
