Mass text message service

Looking for a text message service (relatively urgently) to communicate with 800 people over the next two months.

I've never done this before and I've tried various Google results and none seem to work/are available in the UK.

I want to be able to split the people into groups so it's a very low level marketing campaign essentially.

Does anyone have any recommendations of a reputable, functional service I can use? Budget is flexible.

Not everyone has WhatsApp.

Emails have not been provided - emails would have been easier!

Also don't want 800 people in a WhatsApp group - the school class groups are bad enough! 😁

My business uses Clicksend, but for much smaller numbers than that, so I’m not sure what its capability is.

Isn’t that what WhatsApp business is for though? I’m pretty sure I’ve been added to some sort of broadcast group before from a local business

Nothing useful to add - I thought this was going to be new way for the Catholic church to do services (I'll get my coat cassock)

Can’t you use a buddy system, you tell 5 people they tell 5 people and so on.

I'd really like to think I wouldn't be in charge of that!

I did this before but it was years ago and I can't remember the name of the company.
But you pay per number of people for each text message. You just write the message once and once you've entered the numbers it send it to all.

I’ve used TextAnywhere before - not sure if it’ll handle 800 recipients in one go, but worth a look?

@CinnamonCinnabar i too thought this was to do with organising mass. Possibly a priest looking to urgently reschedule a regular mass time or funeral. Or a church volunteer, but I prefer the idea of a priest lurking on mumsnet trying to understand his congregation better 😀
