Is this reasonable?

I’m autistic and I’m really struggling at work, I feel like I’m at breaking point. I want to request some reasonable adjustments but I’m unsure what might count as reasonable.

For example, I work across three different areas - it’s same job but different client. Each area has slightly different processes and I find it difficult to switch between them and remember the little idiosyncrasies. I would like to be able to work focusing on just one area. The rationale for working across all three is so that there can be flexibility with staffing if people are off as everyone knows how to do everything. I get that, but for me it’s a lot to process. Due to the size of team if I was allowed to work just one area there would still be enough people that know all the areas. Is this reasonable?

I’ve previously asked if I can wear different clothes and been told no as ‘everyone would prefer that’. I feel like if I was in more comfortable clothes I’d be more productive as part of my brain is occupied thinking about how uncomfortable I am.

You're not being unreasonable to request these things but they're not being unreasonable to decline them if they aren't for the benefit of the organisation. Could a compromise for the clothes be you sourcing comfortable plain clothes that their logo could be added to? As for the moving between clients, it sounds like that would impact on a lot of people which doesn't sound completely reasonable but it's hard to know without knowing the set up.

Have you got a trade Union? They are great at helping with stuff like this.

I'd say that if you can't manage three clients then they may well say you can't do the job. Can you make a spreadsheet so you can log the differences between them and where projects are for each one?

This sounds like a good plan OP or a one pager doc with all the different processes.
