Planned c section - what to do the day before

I have a planned c section booked for dc2. Any suggestions for doing something nice with dh & dc1 (3YO) the day (or weekend) before? Obviously I won’t want to exhaust myself, but the day before is still a normal day for my dc and both dc1 and dh are not at work / nursery. Our last day as a three. Eek.

Not really what you are asking but eat well. You might end up being bumped quite far down the list and be ravenous whilst waiting for your turn tomorrow.

Pick your DC1 up and cuddle him/her. Take him to the park and lift him on to anything he can't reach and push him on the swing. I felt so guilty towards my DC1 after my second was born and not being able to pick him up because of the caesarian was the worst. Naturally, you should have a present from the new baby for him/her and just do something together which is about being together rather than an event because you want the togetherness to be the focus and not the event.

I went to a spa day and left my DH to look after the older one all day.
