RIP-Dave the millipede

Somehow my thread a few years ago is in classics.
But I just wanted to update
Dave unfortunately passed away yesterday. She was 11, millipedes only live to about 11/12 so a good life.
RIP Dave.

Oh wow-who knew they could live so long? I’m fascinated - so sorry you have lost Dave - what a heartwarming story though. Why did you decide to keep him? Did he live in a tank with other insects? I’m currently enjoying lots of butterflies and daddy long legs in my garden at the moment. Glad wasp season is almost over though.

We were saying just yesterday that we've hardly seen any wasps here (SW)

Dave lived in a tank with 3 other millipedes. They like company. They eat veg/fruit. Dave was 12 cm. Others are various sizes.
We will be getting more but not till next year. My dd was very upset as we had her for 6 years.

Will the other millipedes miss Dave?

I genuinely don't know. Maybe?
