Purdy and Fig , is it any good / worth it?

I was thinking of buying the Purdy and Fig starter kit. The scents look nice and I'm almost out of my usual Method spray. Is it actually any good? Does it fill the house and rooms with the scents? I also notice they seem to have put their price up in recent weeks which is a bit annoying.

Just thought it might get me in the Autumnal mood! Also if you have ordered it how long did it take to arrive?

I love the stuff. The smell doesn't last as long as I would like, because it smells great! But it keeps my house clean and seems to work well on all surfaces.

I want to try it but the subscription puts me off 😔

cortex10 · 19/09/2025 20:11

Amazon sell it

I was going to get the starter and if it's not what I was thinking I'll cancel which it says you can do. I don't have a big house so I don't think I'll need a redelivery every 3 months.

I looked for a long time at Purdy and Fig then started buying Neat products which are lovely and almost always on offer in the supermarkets. You buy the initial product and bottle / spray then just pay for refills which are around £2. The foaming toilet cleaner and all the foaming handwashes are particular favourites.

homeowlly · 19/09/2025 20:57

@RainbowZebraWarrior Thanks I'll have a look!

@cortex10 I will check that out!

No! Avoid! It’s just online marketing…

Numberninetynine · 19/09/2025 20:59

A complete nightmare to cancel the subscription. Avoid.

ChanelBoucle · 19/09/2025 20:59

I use it - and Neat.

It’s nice, I think I prefer the bathroom stuff tbf. The all purpose cleaner seems to leave a bit of a tacky residue at times. It smells great but doesn’t last long.

i think I prefer the Neat surface, shower and glass sprays but don’t think much of the foaming washes - they seem a bit insubstantial!

Really? Yikes do they keep charging you and sending you products even if you cancel? Thats always a concern to be honest, if I loved the products fair enough but I do want the assurance that I can cancel.

@ChanelBoucle Thanks that's a good detailed review, not sure I like the sound of a tacky residue!

It is good but not great. The bottles don't last long, you can't really use it on glass like it claims. It is just a nice average surface cleaner. I've just got the CIF infinite to try, it smells stronger and works better for a fraction of the price.

homeowlly · 19/09/2025 21:08

It's really quite pricy for 3 spray bottle to be honest, I got 3 bottles of the Method stuff in Costco for less than a £10 earlier this year. I just really fancy the pear scent!

It’s fine, I didn’t have any problem cancelling the subscription but I wouldn’t say it’s any better than OK.

MiceAsPie · 19/09/2025 21:14

I buy loads of it. I buy the starter kit and as soon as it’s arrived, I cancel the subscription. I then re buy the next new seasonal scent kit and so on and so forth, just repeat the whole thing. So although it is a subscription, you can cancel and then rebuy without issue

I like it enough but not at full price. I’m about to order again as I’ve come to the end of my summer scents and fancy the new pear fragrance

the scent doesn’t linger btw so don’t expect that an it won’t ’deep clean’ but it’s good for a surface clean, the bottles look nice on the side , oh and feeling a bit boujee!

Edited

I'm the same, I've actually left mine running so I can try the new autumn scents. But unless they're really nice I'll be cancelling after that!

MiceAsPie · 19/09/2025 21:15

@Numberninetynine I’ve cancelled numerous subscriptions with them over a few years now. It couldn’t be easier

CrowMate · 19/09/2025 21:55

I prefer Ineos. I found I had to use a lot compared to other cleaners. Smells lovely,. Customers service was lacking for us and we didn’t repeat custom.

Noagency · 19/09/2025 21:57

Smells lovely but is rubbish at cleaning.

MoominMai · 19/09/2025 22:35

The fragrance doesn’t last so long so I’d just get a good quality room fragrance and a trusted budget cleaner 🤷🏻‍♀️

ShyMaryEllen · 19/09/2025 22:48

I like it, but I’m another who cancels then reorders when I need to. I put a few drops on a cleansing pad on top of the radiator in winter to make the smell last longer. I don’t think you really need to clean (as opposed to dust) furniture very often, so I really just use it for the smell. I like the bathroom ones and use Neat in the kitchen as it feels like it actually cleans.

joseph25 · 20/09/2025 09:41

I wasn’t hugely impressed. I got the starter kit and found the fragrance’s quite old fashioned/strong rather than fresh and clean (if that makes sense). I didn’t find it cleaned very well at all. However, I found it easy to cancel and I liked the glass bottles. Love the idea just wasn’t impressed with the product.

speedymum1968 · 20/09/2025 11:25

The Neat is on offer with clubcard at the moment

JMSA · 20/09/2025 11:34

Absolutely no problem cancelling the subscription here.
