GP video recording consultation

Is this normal?

Should I have been asked if it was okay or, at the very least, been told the consultation would be recorded?

It’s not completely unheard of but should have been clearly communicated and consented to.

im a healthcare professional and have to record Assessments and clinical work for supervision. I explain it clearly and get patients to sign consent.

Thank you @FurForksSake . That's what I thought Sad

The practice has gone through some major changes in management recently and I wasn't sure if it was their new norm so didn't say anything at the time, particularly as it was only a follow up conversation (that could have been done over the phone if I'm honest).

They should have asked your permission in the same way they would if a student was present.

Yes, I agree @PumpkinSeasonOctober .

Hopefully it was just an oversight on their part with all the changes happening.

I'll definitely say something next time if necessary.
