mumofoneAloneandwell · 17/09/2025 23:30

Social anxiety absolutely limits my life and what I can do - I can't even go in a cafe and have a cup of coffee or go into the majority of shops. It means I live a very solitary life as an outsider.

Very poor.
I don’t leave the house, anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety.
Been taken off my antipsychotics and hear and see people constantly. They talk to me through the tv, through headphones, wake me up at night. Tell me to hurt people.
I self harm daily.
MH team don’t give a shit. Rarely reply to me. Family have raised concerns, all ignored.
Went yo A and E in desperation, was told to go back on antipsychotics. Psych took me off them the following week.
Sleep is all over the place. Constantly in touch with The Samaritans as so low.
It’s a total mess.

my mental health is fine, except when I meet a certain old friend who makes me feel very anxious and a bit shit about myself. Oddly on paper I am more stable than she is, but in person I would rather not see her

and I can be a bit jittery which is linked to anxiety and it really didn't help when my friend said oh look you are really shaking. Made it 100% worse so much in fact that I couldn't lift my fork to eat my food

I’m fortunate to have never had the slightest problem with mental health.

I’ve always been a very confident and resilient person so that probably helps. Pretty much nothing phases me.

I have OCD. It's a struggle.
I feel better now, but 2019 was a very difficult year in my life.

I also have a lot of joy in my life. The OCD is very difficult, but I try to be kind to myself and power through.

Hi! I'm working with someone who has (I think) cyclic bipolar. I've been with the company for a year. He has been off in large blocks throughout this year the last being August through to November. Despite this, I've managed to develop a serious crush on him. We had a small office party in an office not a bar/pub recently. We were all a bit tipsy but were drinking water and finished off with coffees. We ended up separated slightly from our other colleagues as we walked home to get our respective train (him), bus (me). We both said 'See you tomorrow' as I turned to run for my bus I heard him suddenly shout "I love you!" I didn't see his face, as I was running in the opposite direction. I wanted to mention it the next day but thought maybe he wouldn't even remember saying it. My head is a bit messed up by it. He is married. I just wanted to ask if anyone has experienced this during a manic episode. As I wanted to kind of say. How were you feeling after the party yesterday? But I didn't know how to approach it. I decided to just ignore it. We are off for the Christmas break now, so we have a couple of weeks to settle. We were chatting & laughing the next day about stuff, as I didn't want him to feel awkward or embarrassed.

cPTSD, anxiety and depression.

Theres a difference between not wanting to be alive, and wishing I was dead. Not many people understand it.

Every day I don’t want to be alive, and haven’t since I was 6/7 years old. It’s when I tip into wishing I was dead that I start to worry …

Confidence and resiliance dont come into it.
Even the most confident person can get mental health problems.
