Is there anything in particularly you are looking out for / looking forward to?

we had m&s steak pie for dinner from the gastro pub range and we all commented that if we weren’t a turkey household we’d get a couple of those for Christmas dinner.

sciaticafanatica · 16/09/2025 19:26

I always get the chocolate pinecones, the shallot tarts, love the stuffing, have also got my Turkey from them.

We are going to do the butchers this year for the turkey. What’s the minimum order value? Might be nice to get a few extras.

That’s not too high. The link for the catalogue opens my m&s app but no catalogue and I can’t find it, gah!

Cara707 · 22/09/2025 19:39

Is it definitely tomorrow that M&S booking starts?

All things off the menu here with a vegan in attendance. Milk in the pine cones and butter in the tart. Like the thought of the tart, may make my own version. Vegetarians are so much easier.

Christmas food is ordered

Just had a look. Some of the prices are obscene. £195 for beef wellington!
Disappointed with gf options aswell.
I’ll wait and see what Waitrose and Cook are offering before putting an order in.

Sailawaysally · 23/09/2025 07:00

… just looked at the ingredient lists. There are a few more dishes that don’t have added gluten, but aren’t marked as gluten free, so perhaps a few more options.

Thanks for this thread, reminded me to make my Ocado booking.

Lifestooshort71 · 23/09/2025 07:36

They've changed the ingredients of a lot of the stuff we used to buy regularly and we've crossed them off our list - the Italian stuff mostly, yuck. So I'm ambivalent about spending all that money on stuff that might be disappointing as I just don't trust their food any more. The chocolate pine cones....might be tempted to go in and buy as they are/were yummy!

FurForksSake · 23/09/2025 07:48

I’ve done a quick order, not sure it’ll stay as it is, I’ll probably just keep the desserts and a turkey and ham pie. But it’s done. Ocado order is in, too. Held with champagne as ever!

PositivityVibes · 23/09/2025 07:54

Food slot booked in, at some point I may go and amend some things, once I know how many I am catering for and when!

Bring on Christmas 🎄

Cara707 · 26/09/2025 00:22

I placed a much smaller order this year, with three items (turkey, pie, reindeer dessert) compared to six or seven items in the past. I didn't think the dessert offering was very impressive this year and there was no slow cooked/precooked gammon.
