Does this look like hair thinning ? Or normal hair parting

Hair loss

It's really hard to say. What ever it is or isn't it, it doesn't look abnormal. How old are you? Do you have any underlying medical conditions? What was you hair like 6 minths ago?
I had bald patches before I went on hrt but they were small and no one noticed. My hair also really thinned after each of my babies. Now my hair is good and I'm just starting to love it again, although the greys are coming thick and fast.

I am only 32, I don’t have any underlying medical conditions. I have only recently noticed this and I’m a bit worried about it, thanks for your reply

It's hard to say because it's more about what's normal for you rather than an objective measure. If you're worried, first step would be blood tests to look at your iron/b12 etc levels. Low iron us common in menstruating women, and a common cause of hair issues too, so worth checking out for sure.

Either way, it doesn't objectively look bad so do try not to stress out about it too much.

I actually have low folate I don’t know if this would contribute to that? Thank you so much for your replies I really appreciate it, it has helped me calm down about it

Yes, folate could be contributing to less than ideal hair growth for sure, and whatever is causing that could mean you have lower than ideal in iron/other b vitamins, which also contribute.

To be clear, I do honestly think it looks fine, but I worry endlessly about my hair thickness, so I know how stressful it is, and it is worth getting any less than ideal vitamin levels sorted - not least because they could alao be making you feel ropey/tired more generally, which won't help your mood and outlook 😊
