Work 2 days or 3?

I’m currently contracted to 3 days a week and considering a drop to 2. The trouble is I job share, which would mean (likely) the other person picks up the hours I’ve dropped, which I think they’d want to do. This sort of shifts my role in a sense that they’re present more so surely they’ll be more established and known whereas I worry I’d be taken less seriously. This is my only drawback, and naturally the financial side of it would be trickier but I just want to get the best work life balance alongside being a mum. Thoughts?

Does it really affect you financially? I earned £10 more a month on 3 days as at 2 days I didn’t pay tax.

It’s a couple of hundred quid a month I think, so it’s a difference.

I do 3 days and it was a nice balance. But I’d do as little as I could if I could still have kept my foot in the door.
