I live on the top floor of the 2nd floor of a block of flats, the top floor having a walkway that runs along the entrance to around 8 flats.
There's a dog at the end whose owner is letting him go to the toilet on the communal walkway.
She does pick it up but leaves tiny bits of faeces which is getting walked into my house.
I have spoken to her but she just said the kids let the dog out it's not my fault but I never see her walk it. I'm out a lot as I have a dog myself.
Am I being unreasonable

But if she's not going to stop, you'll have to have a no shoes in house rule I suppose.

Can she be reported to someone? That is very unhygienic.

I feel if I do that I will start a world of problems which I want to avoid at all costs

@Violetskies999 could you get a shallow tray with some water and washing up liquid in and dunk your feet before going into your flat??

Violetskies999 · 15/09/2025 18:56

That's a good idea...
