Loots like the end is soon for tattle! Won't be around by the weekend at this rate

What's the backstory? I hadn't heard anything about Tattle closing (but then again I'm not on it!)

NotItsyBitsyNorTeenyWeeny · 15/09/2025 16:35

Good! It looks like a total cesspit

NoelFurlong · 15/09/2025 16:42

Who are they?

I like Tattle, but then I’ve not witnessed anything awful on there. Any board I’ve been on has been fine. Not saying there aren’t awful bits, but I’ve not seen them.

StickyProblem · 15/09/2025 16:47

It’s no worse than MN and a lot better than the Daily Mail online comments section.
Why is speaking about the reality of influencers - that they are advertising without disclosing, lying, claiming to be trolled when they aren’t, claiming to be doxxed when they share their clearly identifiable location on instagram, etc - so upsetting to so many? Very strange.

NotItsyBitsyNorTeenyWeeny · 15/09/2025 16:49

I've read a few of the boards on there after hearing about and influencer being trolled on there and it was disgusting. I've been on MN for over a decade. It is not "no worse than MN" at all.

The other issue is the founder who did whatever he could to operate anonymously, so nobody could sue him

Have you seen the stuff here about Meghan?

Yes. I'm not a meghan basher. This was considerably worse imo and honestly in the opinion of anyone with half a brain

bapples1 · 15/09/2025 16:59

I've not read everything on Tattle but what I have read is no worse than stuff about Meghan, Katie Price etc on here.

bapples1 · 15/09/2025 16:59

Or perhaps I don't possess a brain 🤷🏻‍♀️

NotItsyBitsyNorTeenyWeeny · 15/09/2025 17:00

Sorry to hear that 😂

Darragon · 15/09/2025 17:00

I feel like 20 police forces is a bit excessive. Surely at least 19 of them should be finding stolen cars and shutting down obvious money laundering front shops and sexual trafficking “saunas” and “massage parlours” in their local areas instead of faffing around with hurty feels on the internet.

BloodandGlitter · 15/09/2025 17:01

A loss for free speech honestly, influencers are big mad because Tattle exposed their bullshit. There are many, many worse places on the internet than Tattle.

NotItsyBitsyNorTeenyWeeny · 15/09/2025 17:04

Freedom of speech is great. Freedom from consequences for that speech is not.

Saying something on an anonymous forum where the people being discussed have no recourse at all because the person in charge has gone to great lengths to disguise his identity is not a win for freedom.

cramptramp · 15/09/2025 17:08

Ive read that some of what is being alleged about Tattle isn’t true (re doxing etc). I hope that those involved can back up claims with evidence.

JenniferBooth · 15/09/2025 17:23

Ive never used Tattle but after being told by the police that me being falsely accused of shoplifting and other untrue vile things written about me on social media i suspect by the same person was just slander and a civil matter why is it different here

Do we know which forces?

Yellow94 · 17/09/2025 09:07

I saw some horrendous stuff. People chasing up medical records to see if they had cancer AFTER they passed. 18 attempted suicides according to the court release. Some were just normal business owners, not influencers at all. I saw addresses, vile things said about people with terminal illnesses, even some nutters ACTUALLY stalking looking over their fences etc. 500 complaints, some from just normal people, 150 testified and the courts released a letter stating up to 18 attempted suicides and actual stalking that’s why so many police are involved, they are coming down hard on everyone involved. Karma is a bitch.

Is there a thread about Jess Taylor on Tattle Life?

I've seen her on other social media and she's very obviously a fantasist and a liar. I wouldn't be surprised if the OP is her!

stealthninjamum · 27/03/2026 08:25

Op you keep posting about this. Are you the person being trolled?

fwiw I stumbled on tattle during lockdown and it was an interesting read about the lives of influencers, some of whom had set up pyramid schemes for motivational and life coaching. These were scams and tattle performed a valuable role in highlighting these people.

I’m of a view that if people choose to make money on social media and they are being dishonest or conning people than there needs to be a place to discuss this. I didn’t see anything on tattle that was worse than here and in fact I have seen awful things on Facebook and twitter and would prefer that they get closed down.
