What’s the best coffee pod machine?

I’d like a pod machine for the office so I don’t have to keep remembering to bring in milk.

it needs a reasonably long cable, maybe 1.5m

I like milky pods such as latte, cafe au lait, mocha

which machine should I get? It’s only me and my office is near a sink, so doesn’t need a large water tank. Given the price/availability of pods and the initial price of the machine, which do you think is best? Don’t really want to spend a fortune.

Extra points if it comes in white or navy 😂

I have a dolce gusto and a tassimo, I like them both, I like the Starbucks pods for the dulce gusto but the tassimo has a bigger range of pods and a little cheaper. Neither have long cables though! With both of them you can tell the pods with milk in them is sweetened powdered milk.

It really depends on your taste really. I used to have a Tassimo and I never used it as all the pods I tried left sort of a greasy feeling in my mouth - it’s hard to explain. Nespresso for me is the best I had and since I own a nespresso machine I feel no need to get coffee out.

Don’t like the sound of greasy drinks, but making Americano and bringing milk will defeat the object

maybe I’ll just get those 2 in 1 sachets instead

Dolce Gusto is better than Tassimo (which is foul) and Nespresso is better than Dolce Gusto but milk is separate with Nespresso.

So sounds like a basic Dolce Gusto is your best bet. And an extension lead.

I bought my Dad and his partner this one 2 years ago and I was just visiting them this morning (I live 250 miles away usually) and his partner made us coffee and said it was the best present ever and she uses it every day. They had a problem with it in their first few weeks and rang up to ask for help and the company sent them a brand new machine immediately.

Nespresso with a milk frother (use organic milk for extra frothy-ness)
