Hotel near O2/general O2 query

I don’t know this part of London well, and never been to the O2 and we are travelling from the NE for a single night.
Can anyone recommend a hotel that is easy to access the O2. Looks like we need to drop bags there first as you can take them in.

Also it says unreserved seating, is it easy to get a seat, very important to DD to be seated. Does it take ages to get in. All the concerts I’ve been to have been in city centres, never been to an arena!

Depending on your budget, there are loads of hotels very close by from the big chains. There are a Holiday Inn Express and a Radisson walkable (not the nicest walk, but you’d be perfectly safe) or an Intercontinental right next door. There are also a ton of hotels around Canary Wharf which is a quick hop on the Jubilee Line.

Or the hotels along the DLR line towards Beckton. You’d get the Jubilee line to Canning Town and change for the DLR.

Apparently it’s the O2 Shepherd’s Bush, which shows my middle aged ignorance of these things!

Well at least you worked that out before you booked! Sorry I don’t have personal experience of the hotels. Brook Green is a nice area, walkable distance. Google shows an Ibis over the road and a Premier Inn in Hammersmith. In your shoes I’d probably book one of them. Boring but functional and you know what you’ll be getting.

I know! I’m pleased as there seems to be choice within good walking distance there so we don’t have to get involved with crowds on the tube afterwards.

Shepherds Bush will be easier than the O2, loads of options.

There’s a very cheap holiday inn express and I get breakfast, so I’m happy!

Much smaller so not long to get in at all. It's just like a theatre in a city centre really.
