Snow holiday

Want to take kids (3 and 1) on a snow holiday for around 4 days early december, before school holidays start. Where in the UK can we guarantee there will be snow and is kid friendly? otherwise short haul flights ideas/ resorts welcome!

High up in the alps will be snowy.
Otherwise Scandinavia.

Nowhere in the UK.

Early December can still be touch and go even for lapland though if you went really far North to Saariselka for example you can be reasonably confident.

Alps you'll need to go high but again you might not be lucky.

We all see December as winter and of course December has the shortest day) midwinter but for cold and snow it is January and February that is the main time and with the way weather has been in recent years it is a gamble in December. Heck this year we were in Finnish lapland in Feb with temps of +2C and rain! The year before it had been -20C.

I think you should use a Snow Day Predictor, as it will ensure you about the place you are planning to go is having snow or not. Rather than predicting on someone's advice.

Only guaranteed UK snow is in one of the Snowdomes, for example the one at Keynes.
