Missed a call from NHS, can’t call back?

Missed a call this morning from the NHS (I was dealing with baby and didn’t hear my phone). I have a hospital app next week but wasn’t expecting a call or anything. I can’t call back on the number as it says it doesn’t take incoming calls and there’s no voicemail. We’re going out shortly, obviously I’ll take my phone but I can’t be glued to it. What do I do?

Nothing you can do until Monday. They always withhold number. On Monday ring the admin department where your appointment is.

You should be able to find the email address for your department. Either on a letter or online. And the phone number? Or just ring the switchboard of the centre at which it's based? It may be shut over the weekend though.

If you cant call back and theres no message, it was probably just offering a cancellation

It will probably have been a reminder for your appointment. They won't leave a message. It's worrying the first time it happens but then you get used to it.

Yes, had this two days ago, the only time I forgot my phone and they phoned three times in succession! Panic panic, phoning back doesn't work, but they phoned again yesterday and it was just to confirm that I was coming for my colonoscopy - secretly hoping it was them cancelling, what a wimp!
