How to make weekends seem longer.

This is second weekend back after the school holidays and it feels so short! I had a fun night last night ,free today, a party tonight and out all day tomorrow until 6pm . And then it’s back to thinking about work .

Any help? I’m quite old so maybe it’s just that. Two days off just goes so quickly.

If you wait for something all day time drags. I’m in hospital waiting to see a doctor. Or you could go on a treadmill, time slows down on treadmills.

Do something really boring so the days drag?😆

Seriously, it sounds like you're doing the right things by having days out and social events. As long as you're doing 'quality' things at the weekend and enjoying yourself, rather than spending two days dreading Monday, I don't think it should matter if the time passes quickly.

I did read an interesting book on this subject which contained some tips for making time pass more slowly, such as avoiding doing things like watching a film that 'swallow' a whole evening.

Edit to remove link which came out two miles long

Make the most of Friday nights. Then by Sunday you’ll feel your’ve had had a fuller weekend

Can you do a Thursday night grocery delivery and conquer the house chores, so you don’t spend all weekend thinking ooh I’ll just put a wash on/empty bins/change the beds.

I don’t work on Friday’s - but the weekend still goes too quick!
