Why does it always rain on me?

Well, the school run.
It seems to be too much of a coincidence.
Blue skies and sunshine one minute, then the moment the kids are due out, it pours!
By the time we're home soaked, the sun's shining again 🙄

Anyone else?

Is it because you lied when you were seventeen...

Sorry, couldn't help it.

notacooldad · 12/09/2025 15:44

Not the school run but for my last 5 days that I have had off work ( not consecutive) I had planned a 60 mile bike ride. I can cope with showers but not torrential rain with a bit of wind added to the mix. The ride has yet to happen.
Its been ok today but I'm at work until 9 tonight!

@murasaki
😁 I was kinda hoping for someone to say exactly that so 👏

Well, even when the sun is shining, you can’t avoid the lightning.

shellyleppard · 12/09/2025 16:02

"where did the blue sky go...." 😁😂

InMySpareTime · 12/09/2025 16:04

You’re being held up by invisible men, still life on a shelf when you’ve got your mind on something else…

TigerRag · 12/09/2025 16:06

When you're beginning to wish you hadn't opened a thread

Thanks for the earworms!

WinterPearl · 12/09/2025 16:08

Sunny days, oh, where have you gone?

SteviesNicks · 12/09/2025 16:21

Everybody's saying everything is alright.

(Sorry not sorry that everyone's now singing along 🤭)

And yet after all that time it was like a Pavlovian response from me. I wonder what more useful stuff could be in my memory if that wasn't taking up space.....

It popped into my head too😁

SteviesNicks · 12/09/2025 16:40

Absolutely agree @shellyleppard 💖
My poor DCs have been inflicted by my love of 70s/80s/90s music and are happy to sing along in the car on the school runs. They will always choose my playlists over their dad's 🤭
I'm very proud 😂

OP, (oh) look at you now, flowers in the window, such a lovely day.

There is no wrong, there is no right, the circle only has one side.

Weather always KNOWS when it's school run o'clock.
