Brighton Restaurant with Teens - help

Teeheehee1579 · 12/09/2025 15:38

Happy weekend all! Hope you can help! I am taking my daughter and a friend to Brighton for my DD’s 16th. I’lll mostly let them go off and shop etc but on the Friday evening I would like to take them to a cool (for a teen) restaurant. Not a chain and they will pretty much eat anything. Budget can be higher end! Thanks so much!

Shelter Hall is fun, or Rockwater Hove is nice - especially if you get a table upstairs looking out on the sea.

What kind of food?

Lixon · 12/09/2025 20:13

Bincho Yakitori has amazing food and is quite cool but not in an Instagram way. You would need to book well ahead.

Couple of more quirky / trendy restaurants
Palmito ( tiny - booking advised)
Halisco ( Mexican - very popular amongst younger crowd)
Outlier and one of my favourites - Kitgum - not on the centre of town but really interesting Ugandan Indian food - again popular with a younger crowd)

why not try Karen's Diner? Might be worth a giggle? 🤭

Shelter Hall is a good bet - you can order from different kitchens if you have different tastes. If you book the mezzanine level you’re likely to get a table with a good sea view.

I liked Burnt Orange. Nice and buzzy

Ivy Asia is amazing and has a dj in the evening

Yo Sushi with the revolving food thingy is fun

Mine like the swing seats (and the food) at Mowgli (although I appreciate it is a chain of sorts so may not fit your brief). We also recently went to a small little restaurant called Apiary with everything being based around the owners Sussex Honey…lovely food, service and vibe so would highly recommend.
