I spend more time looking for things to watch than I do actually watching something.

Anyone else resonate ?

Yes especially when my dd comes to me looking for new things to watch!

I found myself watching the Tangled sing-along on Disney the other day - lovely. I think when there is so much choice you forget to revisit old friends.

I wanted to stop Netflix and let new stuff build up but dh said no.

I find there’s quite a lot on ITVx and BBC IPlayer if you’re a licence payer. Some bits in C4 streaming service are good too.

Not really. I find Netflix usually has something, or BBC iplayer. Disney+ and amazon are a bit disappointing for me. Never had Sky.

I do look at MN and other sites for recommendations which helps, and the Netflix algorithm which recommends things is quite accurate.

We actually find more to watch on the standard broadcast channels than streaming (we do have Sky too so lots of live channels). We tend to record on our Sky box so we can skip adverts and watch at a time of our choosing. Then there’s lots of quizzes!

Too much choice is part of the issue. Maybe drop to 1 subscription for a while. I think sometimes we are all overwhelmed by decisions.

Someone pointed out recently that these days we only want to watch something if it's excellent and we love it. No one seems satisfied anymore.

You need to find a long series to get stuck into, maybe an older very popular one. all the best things I have watched have lots of seasons. Then you can dip in and out in between watching the odd shorter series, no time for searching and scrolling then. At the moment I am watching Criminal Minds which has loads of episodes, have left it now to watch The Girlfriend on Prime but that is only 6 episodes. What sort of thing do you like.
