Do you think there is one statement we can agree on?

Have been thinking about this a lot lately. Bringing communities together in a rural area.

Everything these days seems to lead to argument. I do not think there is anything people agree on. Even things like we are all human, cause arguments.

so it got me thinking, is there one thing we can all agree on? Ever? Can it be done? Like even some Simple stuff, not highly publicised divides.

so like one go, then If next person agrees, we continue, if they don’t, they post something else we might all agree on. And see what happens?

so, this is actually hard!

I believe,

there is nothing we can agree on?

(half joking)

I believe that all poo that contains meat (I eat meat for complete disclosure) smells bad. Horse, sheep, no issue.

Sorry, I don't agree.

Some people die at the beginning of the day. 😁

Have you ever smelt pig shit.

Stinks to high heaven. It is illegal to feed pigs meat or meat products.

lrjh · 10/09/2025 21:07

Mine has been a shitey black colour. That was weird, mind you I was on the way out.

Cut myself the other day, yep it’s red now.

Not this summer. Dry for months, hosepipe ban.

Ddakji · 10/09/2025 21:23

Britain is becoming a hotter country and we need to stop pretending that it’s the land where it always rains.

How about that?!

Not necessarily. https://www.sciencefocus.com/science/is-water-wet

"Britain is becoming a hotter country and we need to stop pretending that it’s the land where it always rains." I agree with that.

Is water wet? Here's why scientists aren't sure | BBC Science Focus

Depending on your definition of wetness, water could be described as wet but it can also cause wetness without being classed as wet itself.

I think that article says water is wet? I’ve got a headache and only skim read it though.

This is beginning to feel like the Derry Girls episode where the Protestant and Catholic youth groups literally can’t think of a single thing Protestants and Catholics have in common.

JazzyJelly · 10/09/2025 21:31

On the water theme, beyond objective reality like it being wet, can we all agree clean water is a good thing?

SeaAndStars · 10/09/2025 21:32

Yes, clean water is a good thing.
