Boden 4 Leaf Clover

In a promotional email Boden sent, it has a picture of a map of Britain and of Ireland.
On the maps are various representations - on Scotland a thistle, Wales a daffodil, Stonhenge and a rose on England.
There are lots more.
But for some reason they have put a 4 leaf clover (and an owl ) on the map of Ireland.
Shouldn’t that be a 3 leafed shamrock ?☘️

Yes, it should of course.

The whole point of the shamrock is that it has three leaves! St Patrick used it to explain the Trinity.

If you google shamrock images though, it’s very often portrayed as having 4 leaves, especially on American sites. So the reason the shamrock was chosen as a symbol of Ireland seems to have escaped a lot of people 😅

I think a four-leaved clover is considered lucky, and people have heard of ‘the luck of the Irish’ — though I really don’t know what that’s about — so maybe they just got mixed-up somehow 🤔
