I've been looking at some wonderful discontinued clothing items from my daughter I'm wondering if I can trust this company

Yes 😂 unless you've been living under a rock you'll have heard of vinted and know it's legit. It's individual sellers though, vinted is just the selling platform.

Newishmom · 09/09/2025 01:19

It's just all the prices are so cheap and I have heard of vinted but I never used it @Springadorable

It's very cheap. The only thing to watch for really is the reviews for the sellers (they all have a star rating from previous sales) and if the user name is just random letters and numbers like A472937BH it's more likely to be a fake account. But I buy all of mine and my kids clothes on there, it saves so much

It's not the app you need to worry about it's the general public lol!!

So vinted is just a site for individual sellers, you aren't being sold things by a company it's individual people.
Vinted is just the platform and makes money off handling the money.
So the vinted side of things is fine.
It's wether or not you can trust that specific seller you are buying off.

You should look at the seller profile by clicking on their name and you can see how many reviews they have and how long they've been on vinted. That should give you an idea about whether they are a good seller and you'll get the item exactly as described or not.

Sometimes things can go wrong with postage companies which is outside of vinted or the sellers control though.

All in all I've used vinted a lot and only had a few bad experiences.

I've never bought anything very expensive off there though. Most I've paid for something is 40 quid and that was one of my favourites, a brand new embroidered Zara dress, was well worth it. But I'd not do that usually. I don't usually spend more than 20 on anything off there.

Like I think my daughter is on the spectrum she obsesses over bluey Everything she wears has to be bluey and my friend told me about the app Because I was spending a fortune on clothes for her I'm just looking at all the reviews now clothes and a few toys Surprising amount of bulk nappies here too @Athreedoorwardrobe@Springadorable sorry sorry for the @ it's just easier so people know I've responded to them

It's perfect for that sort of thing. And then you can just sell it again when she's outgrown it.

Newishmom · 09/09/2025 01:33

To be honest I just give my baby's clothes to another family member who has a child a few months younger than skye @Springadorable

Vinted isn't a company, have you heard of eBay? It's another way for anyone who wants to to sell things.

Newishmom · 09/09/2025 07:16

@SunnyD4ysyes I like Ebay I just didn't know about vinted
