Cathartic clear out

Pretty much finished a cathartic clear out of my two wardrobes today. I started last week. Everything is tidily hung up in sections and I've taken 3 bags to the charity shop and consigned some things to the Salvation Army rag bin. I've also been able to clear the pile of stuff off the top of the chest of drawers and put that away. In the wardrobe.

Apart from a couple of bags of stuff to go on Vinted everything's tidy and the room feels clean and calm. I've a missing pair of One Hundred Stars trousers which I think are in a wardrobe I can't get into in DP's office. I hope!

Been a busy day - I also changed bed linen, unpacked a shopping delivery, put through 6 loads of washing, brought the bins up, did the cleaning, collected a prescription and a Boots order and played with the cat for a bit.

Oh sounds like a wonderful use of time!
6 loads of laundry is good going, I did 4 yesterday but only 1 today, should definitely have done more as I’m out all day tomorrow.

I love having my house clear from unused clutter - I mainly achieve this by not buying too much ‘stuff’ but still things have a tendency to accumulate.
not helped by my children!

I didn't really realise I had so much stuff tbh. The wardrobes are looking pretty full even now. I put on weight and held on to good quality stuff that didn't fit, buying cheap things that did, etc. Now getting back to fitness and losing weight after a difficult few years of perimenopause. Plus work wear for the office has really changed, especially since Covid. Some fab vintage jackets are going on Vinted! Need to go through my shoe collection too - I mainly wear trainers these days.

Also had a storage box of summer holiday wear...well most of that has gone to charity. We don't really do beach holidays.

@TheChosenTwo I decided a couple of years ago to only buy quality and that has stopped me from buying things because they're cheap!

Pleased to say I've found the one hundred stars trousers and have today worn some chinos that I couldn't fit in a couple of months ago.
