I’m thinking about getting my warmer clothes out because it feels so cold in the morning…do I or don’t I? 😂

Warmer today and tomorrow and hopefully that's it then. I loathe warm weather!

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 05/09/2025 10:35

September can often be very warm - the ‘Indian Summer’. We have come back from Greece in at least mid September and found it as warm in SE UK. Mornings will still tend to have a nip in them though.

Crunchymum · 05/09/2025 10:39

I'm def digging out some cardigans and have needed socks the past few nights (old, cold house though!)

ChipshopPickledEgg · 05/09/2025 11:09

I have my thick cashmere leisure bottoms on in the house today and am so happy.
Hate summer.

TheChosenTwo · 05/09/2025 11:11

im already back in my thermal base layers! I fucking hate feeling cold and already miss the warmth of summer 😭
it’s a lovely bright day today and tomorrow is also predicted to be nice but it’s not what I’d class as warm.

TabbyM · 05/09/2025 11:12

Wearing sandals today (Scotland)

LikeWhoUsesTypewritersAnyway · 05/09/2025 11:22

Gorgeous here. (Midlands.) Currently 17C - going up to 20-21 later today, sunny, dry, and summer like. Feels like it did in early August. Gonna go sit in the garden soon, with my book. 😎

SeaAndStars · 05/09/2025 11:46

South West here. I've been for a swim in the sea and ate my packed breakfast on the beach whilst still in my bathers. It's not as warm as it has been but it's still warm here.

YetanotherNC25 · 05/09/2025 13:33

Starting wearing socks again this week (northern England). I wasn’t happy about it. The torrential rain makes it feel colder.

SparkyBlue · 05/09/2025 13:45

South west Ireland and gloomy and rainy all week. The rain showers are unbelievably heavy. At least it’s dry today but very cloudy and rain due all week. It’s dark very early in the evenings

Do it.i put all our summer clothes away the day the kids went back to school on wednesday. Our wardrobes are full of jumpers now
Not gone as far as to put the heating on though

Ginmonkeyagain · 06/09/2025 10:33

It's still warm! I wore a tshirt, skirt and sandal to work yesterday.

You may need a light cardie or jacket in ths evening but talk of jumpers and cashmere trousers seems a bit premature!

Readyforslippers · 06/09/2025 10:34

Im also SW, but I've switched to tights and boots now!

Peridot1 · 06/09/2025 10:39

I’m refusing to change from summer clothes but that’s partly as I’m going to Greece on Saturday for a week so all my summer stuff is needed. Planning on switching over to autumn/winter clothing when I get back.

It’s definitely cooler in the mornings and evenings though.

We bbq’d yesterday evening probably for the last time unless we get a warm day and decide to go a lunchtime one.

I’m in the SE so I image it’s cooler in more northern areas.

No no no, this is the season to have ALL of your summer and winter clothes competing for space all over the house, and to be freezing cold in the morning and unbearably hot in the afternoon.

Ginmonkeyagain · 06/09/2025 11:07

Exactly! One simply doesn't go from summer to winter clothes. Transitional dressing people. I know I am in the SE but I wore shoes and socks for thr first time in three months last weekend and my feet were too hot by the end of tbe day.

I have tet to even consider any sort of coat.

Peridot1 · 06/09/2025 12:24

I am a bit the same really with regard to wearing winter clothes yet. It’s more transitional I suppose. Adding a layer if needed. I have identified I need a light cardigan or dressing gown of some description as it’s too warm for my heavier one yet but a bit chilly in the morning if I’m not getting dressed straight away.

YouOughtToSeeADoctorAboutThat · 06/09/2025 12:27

It was cool first thing this morning, but it has warmed up now. Sitting here with the door open, wearing a summer dress. Husband is wearing shorts.

EllaPaella · 06/09/2025 12:32

It’s still very mild during the day here in the North East, I’m still in T-shirt and sandals. Definitely more of a chill in the morning and evening still warm at day time.

Ginmonkeyagain · 06/09/2025 18:47

I was at a fete in the local park and it was full of people wearing shorts, sandal and summer dresses. Definitely not jumper weather here in London.

EmeraldRoulette · 06/09/2025 18:52

I'm in the south east and it's warm and sunny

I am told the early morning is very cold, but I wouldn't know because I don't really get out before 8. And my flat is a boiling new build.

I did come home about half midnight the other night and it was maybe 17°

itsgettingweird · 06/09/2025 19:01

Was 21° here today.

I was so happy to be back in shorts and t shirt and crocs 😂

Tomorrow will be nice too and I can’t wait to dry the bedding on the line after drying 2 loads of washing today! M

Yesterday was lovely too and I just wore dress and trainers to work.

Next week will be wet and miserable - I’m not happy!

DaveMinion · 06/09/2025 19:51

It was 27 degrees where I am on the south east coast today. Gorgeous

Ginmonkeyagain · 07/09/2025 08:44

Mr Monkey is running a half marathon today and they have all been sent text warning about the hot weather and ensuring they keep hydrated- so I don't think we will be breaking out the woolly jumpers any time soon 😆

fateisdestined2025 · 07/09/2025 15:35

@OhMaria2im just going to live with that 😂
