Would a switch be worth it for our DC?

Our DC (8&6) have got a tablet each and a PS4&Wii to share. Appreciate that the Wii is out of date but we only recently got it as we thought that it’d be something we could play as a family. Given that we have all of these, would Switch’s be necessary? They’re asking for them for Christmas but I don’t feel like we need more consoles? Their favourite ones are their tablets by far.

Im unsure if we should get a switch 1 or 2 aswell?!?
Any ideas would be helpful.

If they are happy with the games they have for the Playstation and Wii then stick with those.
I can't comment on the playstation but
we have a Wii and a Switch.
We still play all the Mario, racing and sports games on the Wii (in fact I think the controllers are easier to control).
The good thing with the Wii is you can get games for as little as 50p from places like CEX. Compare that to £45 ish even for secondhand Switch games.

I have a switch 2 and its great can all play as a family! :) the games are more family friendly than the playstation and obviously more up to date than the wii.
