Time limit WhatsApp?

Child is 11. For reference

Just wondering does anyone put a time limit on WhatsApp? If so, what time limit do you put on? What is reasonable?

WhatsApp age guidance is 13, and many still feel that is too low given the bullying, unsolicited contact and inappropriate sharing that happens on there.

At 11, what are the actual benefits of being on WhatsApp versus the costs?

Yes. Time limits on amount of time it can be used and time of day. No WhatsApp until after about 10 months of having a phone, when he said he was missing out on group chats connected to his hobbies/school groups (music, sports, etc). I used to check it daily, now he knows I might check it (but do it less frequently).

Just gone into year 9.

Daughter, year 7. Not specifically WhatsApp, but the whole phone is set for downtime from 730pm to 730am so can’t access any apps and can only call/text her dad & I.
