Today so far it’s cold, spitting with rain and super windy.
I’ve just done a dog walk, then been to the pharmacy to pick up a new prescription (today will be my first day on sertraline, I’m a bit nervous!).
I’ve just got home, so I’m cuddling with my cat before I’ve got to go to work at 11.
I’ll be finishing around 4, so then I’ll be doing another dog walk (not mine! it’s my work), then heading back home which I need to get on with cleaning. I need to wash up, put new bedding on, and wash then fold the laundry (I’m so behind with laundry!)
I’ll start on dinner afterwards, my partner won’t be home until about 11pm-midnight, so I’ll have a snack after work to tide me over.
I’m making chicken stew with parsley mashed potatoes, I love this time of year, it’s so cosy!

So, a pretty boring, yet cosy day for me.
What about you?

Up at 6am, walk the dog, off to office job 1 - work 7.30-1.30. Home, half hour checking in with the teens. Then meet up with friend to do big walk with the dogs, back home where check in again with teens. Then work a further 3 hours for job 2 which is book keeping from home. Quick house tidy, bins out. Sort out dinner for those that want it. Clean up kitchen. Do a quick bit of volunteer admin for teen 2's football team. Now sat on sofa with dog staring at me as he wants a biscuit. Will watch tv for an hour then to bed.

It's a claim handling role - taking insurance claim notifications out of hours (I do some weekends too!). Essentially taking calls and logging info.

I have an insurance background from my main job but a lot of my colleagues are students or just doing this for extra income so experience isn't needed. If you're interested I can DM you the company, I think they're doing another intake soon.

Could I please have a dm too? Don’t worry if you’ve been swamped by requests. Thanks 🙏

I live on an island off the coast of Ireland. I’m just home after two months working in London so I am having a very chilled week. I have a to do list the length of my arm but this week it’s all about acclimatisation, resting and getting used to being home. Next week will be busy!

I’m ill - last one in the family to catch it and feeling sorry for myself. Been Mumsnetting mostly, from bed. But I got bored so I dragged myself out to my office and I’ve been gold leafing a giant wooden cherry. 🍒 😁. Suffering the consequences now so going back to bed.

I drove to work, 1.5 hours, had a couple of meetings, heard an appeal against eviction from a tenant who’s been served a notice. Back to the office, discussed the appeal at length and arrived at a decision. Hard stuff because it’s potentially life changing for them and others affected. Drove to a friends, went swimming, put the world to rights and headed to bed to start again next day.
