I put my pj's on at about 4pm. First day time pjs since about April.

And I am in the South West of France!

We have family visiting next week, I hope it clears up and warms up by then. It is miserable here today.

I've reverted back to long sleeve and long leg pyjamas.

I do run very cold though. We don't turn our heating off, Nest turns it on when the house temperature drops below 21C. Which is quite often, off and on, even in summer...

I’ve made chilli

I'm in grey and drizzly Bedfordshire, and have just ceremonially lit the scented candle in an orange pumpkin-shaped glass jar.

I refuse to turn on the heating until at least October.

Put the heating on? No chance. It's a bit cloudy and rainy is all. We're in danger of becoming acclimatised to hot weather. Deeply un-British. That said, I don't really adjust my diet for the weather, and hot food stays on the menu whatever the temperature.
I only hope I can still get into my coat.

We eat hot food in the summer, but we wouldn't normally have casseroles, stews, jacket potatoes or hearty steak pies with suet crust pastry.

I've washed my woolly scarves, hats and a few jumpers and line dried them today.

Had to throw a blanket on the bed last night.

But. I'm still in flip flops shorts and vests tops. 🫤
Confused now.

i had some butternut to use; almost made soup but the sun came out so I roasted it and made a butternut, lentil and feta salad instead. Still in sandals too, although do that every year and spend 2-3 weeks with cold feet before I give in to socks and trainers.

I flicked the Nest thermostat on yesterday.

I’m in SE and it’s bloody freezing and has belted with rain most of the day.

I absolutely hate autumn (I am arthritic so it’s a painful time of year) but am looking forward to Plumble, soups and casseroles. Candles on all day today. Am currently bundled up in dressing gown over pyjamas and a thick fleece blanket. The heating might have to go on this weekend. 😞

Yep, summer is over. I put wellies on to walk the dogs! Also just put my long pj's on instead of my shorts 🙃
