Wisdom tooth extraction - dry socket

Hi everyone,

I had my wisdom tooth extracted almost 3 weeks ago now and sadly I ended up developing dry socket on day 3 which I had packed by the dentist a couple of times. I went back to my dentist last week who said it looks like it is healing over nicely and she had no concerns, however I still have a very dull ache in that area and eating seems to irritate it more which is concerning me. Has anyone else on here had dry socket and how long did it take to feel completely normal again?

I am due to go on holiday on Friday and this is causing me a lot of stress!! Thanks in advance :)

If you're travelling abroad, please disclose this to your travel insurance company & pay the extra premium to have it covered.

I feel your pain! I developed two last week after having mine out. Absolute agony. We were supposed to go away last week but we cancelled as I wasn’t up to it. I’d look at your travel insurance. Keep rinsing with corsydl
