Temporary wardrobes?

6 replies

We'll soon be moving from our home with all built-in wardrobes to one with none.
Last time we moved, the company used dress rails & collected them a few weeks later - we did not move far away. It won't work this time.

It will be a while before we can organise proper wardrobes (never having built-in again), so any suggestions for cheap storage solutions, please?
We need lots of hanging space - anything currently in drawers can stay in packing cubes for now.
Thank you.

Not the cheap ones from Argos - they take very little weight before collapsing

Can I ask why you’re never having built in wardrobes again?

Look on marketplace for clothes rails.

We got a couple of IKEA MULIG rails when we were in a similar situation. They were surprisingly sturdy and only £7 each.

If you are moving to south Devon I have a dozen commercial rails

Thanks for your replies, I'm checking clothes rails.

@Wishiwasatailor Thanks, but nowhere near.

Very expensive, & designer miscalculated our needs for hanging/drawer/cupboard space; small print meant we had no redress.
Good quality bedroom furniture would have cost c.60%, & we could take it with us !
