TV bed

Apologies for this being a bit random but does anyone have one of these?
We have decided to treat ourselves to a new bed as had ours years and it's back breaking.
Due to our awkward bedroom layout we are thinking of going for a bed with a built in tv.
We have never had a TV in our bedroom before but really like the idea of going to bed early and watching it in comfort instead of vegging on sofa.
It would be king-size in a neutral fabric and unsure about whether to go for ottoman or not. It would be very useful for storage. We did have an ottoman one years ago and it was terrible but was very cheap.

Would anyone recommend this sort of bed? They aren't cheap and I'm a little concerned that they might be a bit gimmicky.

Thanks

I got a king size ottoman TV bed a few years ago (preloved, off Facebook!).

I mostly love it. It just looks like a normal bed, has loads of storage space that is fairly easy to access (not every day, but out of season clothes, spare duvets etc), and means I don’t have to sacrifice wall/surface space for the TV.

The only annoying thing is that the only place in the room you can watch TV from is the bed. When I am tidying/cleaning/sitting in my chair I can’t just angle the TV towards me anymore.

I wouldn’t go back though. I hate the look of a TV in a bedroom - this is the perfect compromise!

@HappyAsASandboy thanks for posting. I'm going to go for it. Hopefully we will be in our new bed by Saturday.
So exciting!
I'm always like this when it comes to spending a lot of money on something for us. Don't bat an eyelid when it comes to the children!
