Chicken pox infectious period

Last weekend we were with family, 2 of whom are pregnant, one ivf (14 weeks) and one who was just starting ivf but miraculously fell pregnant naturally (22 weeks)
We have just found out that one of the children has chickenpox, the spots appeared today.
I have obviously googled and it says that you are contagious 2 days before the spots appear so everyone should be safe but I'm so worried.

I’m sorry to hear that you are worried. There is not much you can do this evening but you could phone NHS 111 and ask for advice. Your midwife would also be able to reassure.
