What's for breakfast on this sunny Sunday morning?

I had the usual yoghurt, blueberries and chopped nuts around 07.00 and late morning will have something like a cheese omelette, maybe eggs & spinach or shakshuka. 🍳🍅🧀🥬 Spoilt for choice, as long as it involves eggs!

I always do a brunch or late breakfast. Today is sour dough, avocado, halloumi, chilli flakes, poached egg and roasted cherry tomatoes. Baked beans in a ramekin.

CoastalCalm · 31/08/2025 08:38

I’m having an omlette with some bacon and beans inside it - not for a little while though more of a brunch by time I actually get out of bed and productive

Endofyear · 31/08/2025 08:47

Too early for me to eat yet but I'm thinking toasted bacon sarnie later on!!

We’ve got the full works here - not for a while yet tho: bacon, sausages, eggs, mushrooms, baked beans, black pudding, hash browns, pan fried halloumi, and thick cut white bread toast. Have sent DH out to get fresh pastries too
Last day of freedom before term starts!

PearlsPearl · 31/08/2025 08:54

Well I'm jealous. I was planning All Bran with raspberries!

Thatcannotberight · 31/08/2025 08:58

DS age 13, made himself some concoction of oats, milk, cocoa powder, peanut butter and honey.

I had wholemeal toast with my sister's homemade bramble seedless jam on it. Absolutely delicious, nothing like shop bought.

My dad was a lockdown bread maker. Yesterday he taught my teenagers how to make cinnamon rolls, so we're having those.

Sanch1 · 31/08/2025 09:03

Sunny?! You’re obviously not in the south west 😂 Pret chocolate croissant that I will pop in the oven when I get back from my run.

SunnieShine · 31/08/2025 09:05

Weetabix (or at least Tesco version) and a cuppa.

Switching to porridge in September.

onwardandupwards · 31/08/2025 09:09

Left over chinese and a krispy Kreme doughnut from my dd 25th birthday yesterday 😁

chiefscoutsgoldaward · 31/08/2025 09:10

Crumpets here. I'm also going on a diet tomorrow so I may have had slightly more butter on them than was strictly necessary.

tealandteal · 31/08/2025 09:11

I’m not a big breakfast person, so yogurt, granola, apple and fig.

MsSmartShoes · 31/08/2025 09:12

Crumpets with butter and a cup of English Breakfast.

We very rarely have a Full English breakfast. I quite fancy a bacon sandwich but we don’t have the right bread.

LancashireButterPie · 31/08/2025 09:13

Yoghurt and rhubarb and ginger compote. My rhubarb has been amazing this year.

I’m On The Mounjaro so my interest in food kind of waxes and wanes just now, but I woke up hungry and have had a bowl of yoghurt and raspberries, and then my late grandad’s speciality, Eggs Champed Up In A Cup with a bit of butter.

NominatedNameOfTheDay · 31/08/2025 09:13

A big bowl of porridge with cinnamon, brown sugar, banana and walnuts. Would love a cooked breakfast but can’t be bothered.

Oooooh, we used to call that Chooky Egg! Is your grandad Irish?

BriceNobeslovesMurielHeslop · 31/08/2025 09:19

@LancashireButterPie he was born here in Scotland but his parents were Irish! Lots of happy memories of being run around in his old Ford Escort while he warbled away to Josef Locke 🥰.

PurpleChrayn · 31/08/2025 09:21

I made the grave mistake of not buying enough eggs so instead of our usual shakshuka we’ve had avocado toast with some tahina left over from Shabbat.

Well sunny so far in London - rest of the week not looking too good!
