Term time meal pain!

Anyone else dreading the return of meal planning when cd back at school/ clubs? I hate thinking about what everyone will eat for dinner. Over summer it's been quite relaxed dh does a lot abd dc involved. But term time everyone gets busy abd it gets repetitive and stressful. Ds 9 is also picky which doesn't help. Im putting off thinking about next week but school starts Tuesday......

Same here, trying to work out what and when everyone can eat, with after school things, sports, scouts, music...

i got the pickiest child to write losist of what he will eat and have worked back from there. I see a lot of pasta bake in the future though.

@TeaHagTeaBag it's so hard isn't it? Goodluck!

My kids will be taking packed lunch for the first time,so I was just thinking about that as well 😫

The tyranny of planning and cooking food! When the kids are away I only eat cereal.

I am going to attempt meal plan so we dont end up living out of the freezer however my last attempt at this failed miserably so I have also stocked my freezer with quick shit I can throw in the air fryer 🙃

Yes, I was only thinking about this yesterday. I will probably do a couple of slow cooker days with spag Bol or chilli and then everyone can help themselves when they’re ready. Maybe a pasta dish one day and then I’m stumped. Hopefully following this for more ideas.

I'm the absolute opposite. Daughter with autism has been home from uni for the summer. She demands a strict meal plan and timings. Two weeks and I'll be free again 🤣🙈

@daffodilandtulip

i feel your pain! Dd and dsd both leaving home last year was so freeing, no planning around the long lists of don’t like, wrong texture, meat (one of them) etc rarely was there something everyone ate … just pesto pasta basically, felt like a short order cook some nights! They live with respective partners now

Ok so toad in hole, spag bol, curry jacket potatoes, fish n chips, tray bake, kebabs/rice, risotto, mushroom/chicken stew.... all suggested so far. Definitely looking for quick and easy, ds hates 'sloppy' food so slow cooker meals are just us 3. Airfried is ready!
Packed lunches are another pain!
